As you know, in the last few years, many people have added meditation to their lifestyle. People are understanding the importance of meditation. As you know, many sages and successful people practice meditation every day. So many successful people have been doing this thing even after having such a busy lifestyle, which means there is something in meditation that is beneficial. If you research regarding meditation, then you will come to know that through meditation we can learn to focus on any particular object, thought, or activity in our mind. You can learn to keep your mind calm, you can stop a lot of thoughts coming into your mind (especially negative thoughts), you can learn to stay focused on your life.

People’s Misconceptions about Meditation

Many people have a misconception about meditation. They think to do meditation, they will have to get up early in the morning, then they will have to sit in the position of Dhyan with their eyes closed, breath-in-breath-out or do pranayama. Some people think that meditation has to be done for 15 minutes or half an hour. Everyone’s lifestyle is different, due to which some people find it difficult to meditate in the morning or they are unable to give time to meditation even if they want.

When do we think about ourselves in this rushful life? We don’t even realize when the day begins and when it ends. We do so many things throughout the day. There are 24 hours in a day, out of these 24 hours, sleeping, eating, drinking, bathing, going to school/college/office talking with friends, watching social media, we spend a lot of time on all these things and the day ends. And because of this, we feel stuck. In life, it is very important to look inside of yourself, to understand yourself, to know the skills inside yourself. For this, all of us need to spend time with ourselves and think about ourselves. This is the reason why many successful people and sages do meditation. Meditation helps us to think and take strong decisions, as well as keep our minds calm.

The Real Meaning of Meditation

The real meaning of meditation is spending time with yourself. The time when you think only about yourself, your goals, purpose, think about these things. Think of all the things for which you are grateful.

Right Way to Do Meditation

One doesn’t need to do meditation by getting up early in the morning. People say to do this in the morning because morning time is calm. But wherever you feel calm throughout the day, whether it is in your room or temple or garden or any beautiful place in nature, you can go anywhere and spend time with yourself. Remember, do not carry a phone with you at that time.

Spend time with yourself every day. In the next few days, you will feel very calm and focused. You will not get superfluous thoughts in your mind, you will not be distracted and you will see many changes. Just be consistent and you will see the benefits very soon…
